PLC based control panels often need to be tested inside the assembly line to verify the logic built by the programmer. Connectwell Lamp Test Diode Modules are available in a range of configurations for control panel tests.
a) Individual Diode type
In this configuration, individual lamps can be illuminated with different inputs to the individual diodes. For example, to turn on the first lamp, the first switch needs to be turned on.
b) Common Anode / Cathode Diode type
By using a common anode or cathode diode modules, all the lamps can be turned ‘on’ at a time to test the outputs.
- For common anode module, a positive signal needs to be supplied at A’ point and all the lamps connected to the 1, 2,3 up to 22 will turn on at one time.
- For common cathode diode module, a negative supply needs to be supplied at ‘A’ point to turn on all the lamps.
c) Individual Diode for multiple signals
In some applications, multiple signals are available to turn on the same output. For such a configuration, I1 and LT1 are used to turn on the same output O1.
d) Common Anode /Cathode Lamp Test Module
Connectwell offers common anode modules and common cathode diode modules, with individual lamp tests modules as well single input for all outputs. Here the output can be turned ‘on’ by with a single input to an individual channel or a common channel, as per the requirement of the application.
e) Diode Test Module for AC supply
While the previous Connectwell Diode Module configurations are mainly for DC supply, Connectwell also offers a diode module for AC supply. In this configuration, the outputs can be turned on by individual signal and common signal.
